Yr 5/6 Sportshall Athletics continues

The team started back after the half term break continuing to host the preliminary Sportshall Athletics competitions at Longbenton High School.

It was a jam packed afternoon with 120 year 5/6s competing. Running as fast and throwing and jumping as far as they could with the hope of doing their best for not only their school team but also themselves, hoping to acheive their personal best.

We were joined by 20 keen sports leaders who supported the team in delivering the competition, taking charge of the measuring and timing on the track & field events. They were a great help and were excellent role models for future Longbenton students from Balliol Primary, Benton Dene Primary, Forest Hall Primary, St Marys RC Primary & St Stephens RC Primary.
