Key Stage 4 teams take to the courts
Wednesday this week saw the start of the central venue leagues… one of many that the team & school staff will be running this academic year. This one was Badminton. Key stage 4 students from 5 secondary schools acsended on John Spence sports centre to play in several singles & doubles games against rival schools, with the hope of reaching the North Tyneside final which will take place later this term.
The second of the Badminton leagues will begin on Tuesday next week at Churchill College and we are looking forward to welcoming even more keen key stage 4 players.
There were some close games on Wednesday evening, where players demonstrated excellent skill. It looks like it will be an interesting few months of Badminton!
We will also welcome key stage 3 teams over the coming months, who will play the same format in their campaign to be the best girls and boys team in the borough!
