North Tyneside Trampoline Competition 2019

This week we saw a record number of competitors at the North Tyneside Trampolining Competition…  165 students in years 7 to 11 performed a set and voluntary routine in front of the judges.

Students are entered into one of four categories by their teachers which is dependant on their ability and what they have been practicing at school and/or at their club. This is either as part of the Beginner, Development, Intermediate or Elite category.

The students who have finished in the top 3 positions within each category, age group and gender qualify for the county final in December. And if schools have 3 or 4 performers within the same category they make up a team and have the opportunity to qualify collectively if they finish top.

A school that stood out having performed very well were Wellfield Middle School. They entered a total of 34 year 7 & 8 competitors and 14 finished in either 1st, 2nd or 3rd place individually or as part of a team.
